M. Basilea Schlink was born in Germany in 1904 and in 1947, together with M.Martyria founded the Evangelical Sisterhood of Mary within the framework of the German Evangelical (Protestant) Church. The sisterhood grew into an international, interdenominational organisation with branches in various parts of the world.

M. Basilea is the author of more than 100 titles, with translations in over 60 languages and has also made films and videos.

I am reading another of her books at the moment "Israel. My Chosen People" and it is quite fascinating. It is a compassionate and prophetic insight into God's dealings with His beloved people and is certainly worth the read - as are all of her books.

Before she went to be with our Lord, she was a lady who was extremely in love with the Lord Jesus.

A quote from one of her other books says:

Make the most of this day. It will never return. But that which you put into it in the way of thoughts, prayers and deeds you will find again in eternity.
So take care that you put in much love, faith and prayer and you will have a rich harvest above".
