This is the day.....

A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that I was going to keep an eye on how I use my time.
Well, it's yet another week since I posted on my blog so it seems to me that I am not being very organised!!
Recently, I seem to have just been rushing into my day without any proper plan of how to us my time wisely and I have come to the stage where the busyness of life seems to make each day role into one and something has to be done. Being busy isn't too bad if the busyness produces fruit and the work done is 'as unto the Lord', however I'm sorry to say that the last two weeks haven't really been very fruitful or as unto the Lord.
I also have to admit that inbetween the busy times, I have just slumped onto the sofa and had a lazy moment or two. The Proverb about the sluggard comes to mind!
So, THIS IS THE DAY that something has to be done. I have decided to make myself a weekly table - something like a check list - of things that need to be done and what day and what times I shall be doing these things. This way I can ensure that I do what I need to do and as I like to see things ticked off this should give me the incentive to complete the task at hand!!
The first thing is Bible study. I have found a beautiful website and have placed a link to it under the daily scripture. Ladies of Grace. It's such an encouraging site and the teachings on there are all about women and the issues we face. If you do have a look, I hope you enjoy it.
The second thing is exercise. I don't get much exercise at all and can feel myself starting to stiffen. I need to remember that my body is a temple of my Lord and I am honored that He has blessed my body with good health. I should not take this for granted and need to look after it in a way that honors my Lord.
The third thing is food. I go through stages where I cook 'proper' food and sometimes use convenience foods and these last couple of weeks there has been more convenience foods than there should be.
Fourthly - blog posts. I have to admit that I thought I would never blog. "Ooooo, that's not for me" I said. But I am thoroughly hooked now and want to share so much. I have looked onto some marvellous blogspots and have been so encouraged by people's words and am so thankful that people share what they do. Sometimes, I feel like the only one who struggles with certain issues, such as being so busy, but from 'surfing around' I have found that it's not just me. It fills my heart with joy that we can share our experiences and help each other along our journey's. It's wonderful how women can reach other women all over the world with the Word of God. Praise the Lord for this technology.
I do need to learn how to use my blog correctly. Someone has very kindly given me a blog award, and I think I have followed their very clear instructions, but still haven't managed to place my award on my site. So that needs sorting. I also have a picture that I want to add in the middle of my text, but that doesn't seem to be happening either!!
So, these areas are just for starters. There are plenty of other areas of my life that need organising - like dusting, ironing, gardening, etc..... But THIS IS THE DAY that I will rejoice in the fact that I have decided to be more disciplined and start to take control of organising my time. A fruit of the spirit is self-control, so it can be done!!
I shall keep you posted!!

Hi Miriam, yes blogging is a wonderful way to meet people and to encourage each other.
Once I have my 'table' on paper, I will share it on my blog and if you do yours then we can compare!!!
Help each other along.
Have a blessed week.
