Sew the seeds of friendship
As your way you wend,
And you reap a blessing
At the journey's end.
Patience Strong
During the war my dad had a long stay in hospital due to a broken back and he learnt to embroider.
This is one of his embroideries.
My mum has just lost her friend. She died last week and her funeral will be on Tuesday. One of my mum's great attributes is being a friend. She is a friend who gives her all - her time; her shoulder; her ears; her hands and her feet. She knows what to say and when to say it. She helps you to express your sorrows and to shout your joys from on high. She knows when to be quiet and just be there. She'll walk miles just to give you a hug and is always ready to sacrifice her own time to do something for someone. Not only is she a great mum but she is a great friend to all who know her.
Mum has sown the seeds of friendship as her way she wends and I can see the blessings in her journey of life.
I thank you Lord for my mum. I thank you for her friendship and for the happy times we share together.I thank you for the love and protection You have poured into her life and for the path that You have guided her along.
I thank you Lord that you are our Friend - everyones Friend. I thank you that Your heart is for all to come to know you, as their Lord, Saviour and Friend. I thank you that You will never leave nor forsake us - that we can tell you anything and everything and know that You love us all the same. Thank you Lord for your amazing love.
