LEEKS!!
Having bought my fruit and veg from the local market, the stall holder asked if I'd like these leeks for the grand total of 50p!! Bargain!!
Leek & Potato soup here we come!!
ALSO....

We're trying to save up enough to go on holiday this year. Actually, we're trying to save for lots of different things, but I'll just mention the holiday here!!
I've decided that when I go out to buy something for myself, if I'm not successful at getting what I want I will put the money in our savings 'car' instead. ( I guess we should be saving for a car if our 'money box' is a car - it's just that I couldn't find a plane!!)
So today I was looking round the charity shops for a bag. I do have lots of bags, but they are abit on the small side, and want one that's big enough for my purse, diary, New Testament, etc, etc. So I had £5.00 to spend.
As I couldn't find what I liked the £5 went in the money box instead. So that can go towards the taxi fare to the airport!!!

And where will you go on your holiday? I think it's a great idea to put money aside as we make decisions not to buy something. I'm inspired by your post to do the same!
I love leek and potato soup, and i love how many lovely Christian women I have found through blogging. I was reading your earlier post about no other Gods, well, just about anything can take over too much of our time. I guess the most important thing is making sure we have our time with God. I try to get my queit time done first thing wehn I get up or I just get so busy that before I know it, it is time for bed and I am too tired to give God the attention I should. It works very well for me and starts my day off right:>)
Thanks for stopping by and commenting, it is great to meet you! You are entered in my give-away.
What a clever way to put money away.
Thanks for visitng my blog.
Where are you going on "holiday"? I love saying that . . . here in the States we just say "vacation". Holiday sounds so much more interesting and inviting.
God bless you my friend and happy savings.

This is a great way to save for a holiday! I love the little car...very cute.
Have a blessed weekend!
What a excellent idea . . there is always ways to save if we really take the time to do it. I started staying home about six years ago and believe me it has changed my spending habits. It made me become more creative in every area of my life. They say a simple life is a Godly life and it really is . . no bondage.
Enjoy your Sunday!
