A time to live and.....

Ecclesiastes 3 v 2 -
A time to be born, And a time to die

We have a very dear and long standing friend whose mum recently passed away and yesterday we attended her funeral. There were many people there, paying their own wonderful tributes to such a pleasant, kind and gentle woman of God.

There is just something very final about funerals. Obviously. I find them very numbing. Strange even. Our lives carry on as usual and the life of the deceased continues, but in a different place. In John 3 v 3 Jesus says:

"Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot
see the kingdom of God"

and in verse 5:

"Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the
Spirit he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

So what was Jesus saying? I believe He was saying

Without being born again there is no life or relationship with our Father, God and
we will not see His Kingdom.

When we are born again we literally 'enter' to a new realm where God's new kingdom order can commence in our lives.

Being born again is so much more than simply being 'saved' - it qualifies us for that right relationship with God- something we could never achieve on our own merits.

Perceiving and entering the Kingdom of God without being born again is absolutely impossible.

I am thankful that the gentle woman of God knew Jesus. She had a wonderful relationship with her Father and now she will be with Him - the King of Kings.

How about you?
