This one below was on the way to work!
Can you spot the bird bath?!?!
Well, today..... did it snow.!!!!! It was so thick and so beautiful. I managed to get the car off the drive after hubby defrosted and de-snowed it for me. It took about 3 minutes to get to the top of our cul-de-sac (usually 50 seconds!) and then what would usually be a 20 minute trip to work took 40mins to get half way and ended with me abandoning my car and walking the rest of the way!!
I had my faith in humanity restored today when local residents came out of their warm cozy houses and helped to push and dig snow away from poor stranded motorists! In fact, four people pushed my car into a spot where I could safely leave it and I hadn't a clue who they were. All I know is that I was extremely grateful for their help. It was really wonderful to see how the community pulled together and helped everyone - something we don't see very often!!
Arriving at work almost an hour late, it was good to hear stories of how other people had got there. We were allowed to go home early which was nice because we could at least venture out in the daylight (it's dark here at 4pm!!)
Hubby and I then managed to get my car home and now, as it's still snowing, 'Little Princess' (my car) is enjoying more snow being poured on it!!!
Oooooooo, it's all good fun!!

WoW, Carol! That story needs to be written down in your journal(if you keep one). I love hearing stories like this. I really believe that the Lord Jesus will awaken His people and open the hearts of unbelievers this year.
Blessings and hugs,
Miriam :)
Hi Miriam, I have never kept a journal but it is something I'm looking to start doing this year. I am curious to know the difference between what people write in their journals compared to what they write in their diaries.
I have a rather nice leather bound journal that was given to me as a gift and am looking at different ways that people 'journal' and why. Maybe this should be the first story I write!! Hugs x
Carol,
I LOVE SNOW!!!! So far our little town has not seen any; however the weather man on TV calls for snow tonight. I also wanted to tell you that you are such the trooper driving out to work in all that white stuff. Be safe my friend and enjoy God's beautiful coating of white.
Your sister in Christ,
Bren
Wow, that is a lot of snow! It is beautiful. I'm glad you were able to get around safely. I'm glad to hear that people were being helpful to one another. You would hope that would be the case, but it isn't always so. Stay safe, and enjoy the snow!
Hi Carol, thanks for your comment at my blog and for letting me know that I can get Time Changer at Wesley Owen! I'm going to check that out, I've wanted the film ever since Michele (A Quiet Gracious Life) blogged about it quite a while ago.
