A few blogging friends are taking part in 'A Pause in Advent'.
Advent starts four Sundays before Christmas and is a season that is set aside as a time of preparation for Christmas.
We hope to share some of our thoughts and traditions that we experience and hopefully you will be able to join in this special time. There is only one rule and that is you have to post each Sunday or Monday. ( I know today is Tuesday, but I missed the beginning!!!)

As this is my first entry I do have a confession to make. I have to admit I don't know very much about Advent at all so in a sense this is very new to me. I have always had an advent calendar, counting down the days to Christmas but I'm sad to say I have never really taken a look at what Advent really means.
So, between now and next Sunday I will learn about Advent and let you know what it means to me. I hope that's ok?
As for Christmas traditions, our family don't really have any. Christmas for the last few years has always been different and there isn't any one particular thing that we repeat. Not sure whether that's a good thing or not really!?
