I'm not usually very 'up' on politics and didn't envisage ever writing anything on my blog about our MPs,,,,,,,, however. . . . . . .
The picture below is of Westminster in London. This is where the MPs (Members of Parliament) work and decide the future of our country.
At present, there is a huge exposure of the expenses that SOME of the MPs have been claiming and it has caused a massive outcry.
A few of the things that have been claimed are things like cleaning out the swimming pool; repairs to the tennis court; cleaning of chandeliers; avoidence of Capital Gains Tax; three homes; cleaners; gardeners; security; but the worst of all is claiming for mortgage payments when there is no mortgage!!!
The MPs are blaiming the system. But to my way of thinking, the system does not put pen to paper and claim for these things. There may be a loophole in the system that lets these things go through, BUT WHERE IS THEIR INTEGRITY?!?!?
I am so disappointed. We're supposed to vote for these people and actually trust them!?!?!?!?!
Having said all this, I do believe that God is showing that He is most definitely in the business of bringing into the light that which is in the dark. This isn't the only situation which is being brought to light at the moment.
THANK GOD THAT HE IS IN CONTROL

Carol,
I quite agree! We are dealing with similiar matters here in America!
We elect them to "tidy" the budget books not spend "like drunken sailors" or not pay their taxes!

p.s.--Is Daniel Hannan one of the MP's?
We are dealing with this same corruption over here as well. It is so sad.
