Where is my security...

I don't pretend to know much about the stock markets but I do know that this present 'Credit Crunch' will effect us all in one way or another.
My husband is self employed and the last two weeks have been the worst ever. So, we ask ourselves "where is our security?"
Philippians 4 v 19 tells me that My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. The amplified bible says: And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

For me, this is great news. If God will supply all-my-needs then I don't need to worry about them. God knows and He's got them in hand. I don't need to worry about how I will put food on the table, petrol in my tank and pay the bills.

WHAT I DO NEED TO DO IS TRUST GOD

For me, when I trust Him completely, my focus is off my needs and rightly on Him. Then I can continue to have fellowship with my God and deepen our relationship. Then God can take care of the rest.

For me, I also have to remember that God asks us to supply His storehouse, so it is important that I don't stop tithing at this time. I have to remember, there is no recession in Heaven!

Even though it's sometimes hard to let go of my worries or concerns, I have learnt from experience that when I "let go and let God", then life becomes calmer.

I believe my security does not come form myself or my circumstances. My security comes from my relationship with my Heavenly Father

Carol, this is so true! We are to put our trust in God alone. God's word shows His faithfulness of providing for His beloved.
He loves us so much.
You brighten my day,
Miriam :)

Yes, this is so true! This is something that I have been relying on lately. Trusting In Him - completely and totally.

Enjoy your blog,
Beth

Thanks for your comments. I know it's sometimes hard to keep our focus especially when times get rough, BUT if we say we believe then we have to act as if we do!! and totally trust in the Lord.
Bless you.
Have a great week.

Amen. Have been enjoying reading Larry Crabb's book "Shattered Dreams" a pathway to God. So enjoyed his honesty and sincerity and good to see what I already believe written in the language of someone else as a reminder.

Carol,
I too have struggled with putting my trust in the Lord when times get difficult. God is preparing me. . . He is trustworthy!. . . He is control!. . . We have to give it all to Him, completely. Thank you sister friend for this very heart felt post.

Despite what the media preaches, the only prize worth winning is the one offered by our Father. 'Let go and let God' is a wonderful maxim for life.

Great post Carol...very positive. My hubby is self-employed too, and it's a bit 'hand-to-mouth' at the moment. It's certainly teaching us to rely totally on God!

Thank you for your wonderfully encouraging words on my blog today...God Bless you. xx
