Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for Righteousness

for they shall be satisfied.

Well, this particular scripture has been and is still being a complete revelation to me.
Righteousness

I am discovering so much about righteousness (and also self-righteousness) and it is quite an eye opener.

I have found teachings pointing to the fact that righteousness is nothing to do with us and other teachings pointing to the fact that it's about our performance.

Personally, I believe it's all about Jesus. Righteousness is in Him. My findings are revealing so much that I am not going to write on this at the moment as I really need to study and pray about this more.

I have found it amazing that something I have read hundreds of times suddenly has me stopped in my tracks and I really need to know more about this and to gain the insight of exactly what Jesus was saying.

I'll be back........

Carol,
You are wise to study God's word! So often I have thought I knew the scriptures, then later I realized I did not study and pray enough to gain what God was teaching me. I understand what you mean about self righteousness and His righteousness. Being able to tell the difference is a blessing. God bless you my friend. I hope you and your family are well.
Your sister in Christ,
Bren

Carol, I love what you are sharing.
You are blessing me so much as you are walking through these scriptures. It is all about our Lord Jesus and He is worthy of all praise, glory and honor!
With the rememberance of Resurrection Day coming up here, I get so overwhelmed by His great love of willingness to lay down His pure life for me;for us. His great love and righteousness is what held Him to the cross. He could have at any moment decided 'no, I am Holy Creator', but His love and righteousness said 'yes! I am willing.' He fulfills His word!
I am crying as I am thinking about Jesus. How grateful I am to our Lord and King!
See,Carol, the Lord uses you in a mighty way.
Bless you,
Miriam x
