Something to think about...

1 John 5 v 13 (The Message Bible):
My purpose in writing is simply this: that you who believe in God's Son will know beyond the shadow of a doubt that you have eternal life, the reality and not the illusion.
Towards the end of last week I was trying to contact a friend of mine. I wasn't having much success and jokingly thought to myself, "maybe she's been Raptured?!"
Then my heart missed at least two beats.
If she had been raptured, and I was still here, that meant something was not quite right!!!
Can you imagine!!!???! The Rapture happens and you're still here. How scary is that? I promptly went to my Bible, just to make sure I was saved!! (Not that I doubt my salvation, but when my heart had missed 2 beats I needed something to make it beat again - and Jesus does that!!)
It made me think how time is flying by and there are so many, many people who still have not opened their hearts to Jesus and accepted Him as their Saviour. There is such an urgency in the air to tell people the Good News about Jesus Christ.
Again, in the words of the film 'The Time Changer' If you have not, please give your hearts to Jesus Christ. Your eternity depends on it'

Carol,
How true! It is so amazing when God allows our heart to skip a beat. He loves His children and He keeps us directed toward Him.
God bless you,
Bren

Dear Carol,
I know exactly what you mean!I had that happen one morning when I woke and my hubby was already up and I didn't even know it! I feel that same urgency for lost souls! I sense it even more so with what is in the news of late.
I know God's timing is perfect and He alone knows the day and the hour. I am so glad we know our Saviour Jesus Christ.
Sweet blessings,
Miriam xx
p.s.-- I need to watch that movie "TimeChanger". Have you seen the movie "Bella"(with Eduardo Verastegui) or "Fireproof"( with Kirk Cameron & produced by the church who made "Facing the Giants"). We hope to watch them this weekend.

Hi Miriam. I haven't heard of either of those films, but I shall watch out for them. We have a large shop not far from where I live that sells lots of Christian books and films. When I watch them I shall let you know.
Bless you and thanks for your comments.

Dearest Carol,
First, I want to thank you for your comments on my blog. It does my heart good to know I have a sister in Christ Jesus who is walking this path, too.
Sweet blessings,

He is so good to quicken our spirits and bring life. His Word is so comforting, especially when we need to be reminded and assured.
Thanks for stopping by my blog! I've enjoyed meeting you!
