do you see Christians dressing up for Halloween? Dressing up as witches or wizards or Dracula with imitation blood dripping from their chin and some with horns on their head.
Maybe I'm missing something here, but how can you walk with the Light of the World inside you yet still dress up as someone who the Lord says we are to have nothing to do with. And also say that you treat it as a bit of fun?
For me, the Lord speaks very clearly through the Bible that we are to have nothing at all to do with this part of life - witchcraft, wizardry, evil spirits. He condemns it all and all these things are an abomination to Him.
It's my understand that for witches and satanists, etc, this is an important date and time and I have also read that human sacrifices are still offered on 31st October, so how can christians possibly join in and still say "it's juts a bit of fun"?
I'm sorry if I've offended you - but I would appreciate your thoughts on this subject.

Carol, totally agree with you, which is why I dont mention the dread season on any blog. At our UK church we always had a childrens party that night to keep them away from the trick and treat thing.
It horrifies me what is being 'sold' as just a bit of fun, when we know it is an invitation to evil.
I don't remember how Halloween in celebrated in England, but where I live, for our family it has become a fun way to dress up and go to your neighbors and ask for candy. I totally respect your viewpoint, however there is nothing that we do in our home or family that reflects the darkness of what some might do on this holiday.
