Help please.....

My friend Esther and her husband pastor a church in a Gypsy village in Albania and as an outreach, Esther does alot of craft work with the ladies there. We are going to see her and her family soon and amongst alot of other things, we will 'crafting' together!
Esther mentioned that she has alot of wine glasses that have been given to them and are not in use and she is looking for ideas to make these glasses into a centerpiece for a table.
She has 24 yellow T.Lights that she can put into the glasses, but we are wondering how we can decorate the glass - or what we can decorate with.
I did think of glass painting, but the place where the ladies meet is a rented venue and paints may be abit messy.
Has anyone got any ideas to share please?!? IE: photos; websites; names of magazines, etc.
I will be purchasing the items here and taking them to Albania with me, so the 'lighter' the ideas the better really.
Thanks for your help!

It's difficult with cut glass, but wonder if you could try tiny decoupage pieces? Or just use lovely ribbon to tie round each one with a flowing bow? Or raffia, with a little flower/decorated twig held in by it?
Will keep thinking.

Or...you might like to use beads, pearls, sequins to decorate the rims.
Try googling 'hand decorated glassware'.
When are you going to Albania?

I found this idea on Real Simple. I think it is very easy, simple and elegant.

Carol,
Sorry I have been of the computer for awhile.
What about greenry and bows around the base of the glasses and pretty glass beads in the bottom of the glasses. Then add water in the glasses with lit floating candles.
This little bit of info is probably too late. :(
Blessings,
Miriam :)
