It's almost New Year

Well, we're nearly there. 2010. Wonder what this year will bring?!

I have been pondering over this last year, 2009, thinking of how 'busy' I've been and I came across the following poem written by Frank Herbert Sweet.

If you have a tender message
Or a loving word to say
Do not wait till you forget it
But whisper it today.

The tender word unspoken
The letter never sent
The long forgotten messages
The wealth of love unspent

For these some hearts are breaking
For these some loved ones wait

So, show them that you care for them before it is too late.

For me, there's alot of truth in this poem. I can quite often get caught up in the daily rush around of life that I put off writing letters or making phone calls of encouragement.

In 2010 I hope I will be better at this.

What a lovely poem, and so true. I hope I can improve in this area too. x

I enjoyed the poem, and it's truth. It is easy to leave important words unspoken...I have a hard time with that too. Hopefully I will do better in 2010.

Have a Happy New Year!

I am guilty of this, too...this lovely poem really convicts me to pray for a more loving and compassionate attitude...right now....
