Woooooooooooo.........

Well, we have now got hot water again!!! Praise the Lord.
It turned out not to be the pilot light, but something else far more technical and it took until Wednesday to fix.

My mum lives just a couple of doors from us so in the mornings I was able to nip round to her bathroom to take a shower - it reminded me of camping!! Crossing the field to go to the washrooms! LOL...

I was also able to use mums washing machine to do a couple of washes, and then just boil the kettle to do everything else that requires hot water!! It was a good experience and very helpful in reminding me how fortunate I am to have such a privilage as not only hot water but water itself.

Glad to hear that you have hot water again!

That's better! As a child we lived in the depths of Cornwall, and water was stored in a rain tank, we had to be prudent.

Absolutely Elizabeth.
I also remember as a young child (about 4ish) we lived in a 'two up-two down' and had no bathroom. We used to have a tin bath which was put in front of the fire every Friday night and the whole family bathed in the same bath water!! Can't imagine that happening now, can you!

Sorry to hear about no hot water. It reminded me of the time when I lived in Urmston and our flat didn't have warm water for a few weeks. That was brutal!
