But he isn't walking with God.
Some people have children who they love, but find it hard to get along with, particularly if they are walking with the Lord and their children are not.
Some people have children and they don't know where they are.
Some have children who were brought up walking with the Lord, but are now far away from Him.
There is a wonderful scriputre in Jerimiah 31 which says:
16: Thus says the Lord, restrain your voice from weeping and your eyes from tears, for your work shall be rewarded; says the Lord, and (your children) shall return from the enemy's land.
17: And there is hope for your future, says the Lord; your children shall come back to their own country.
As parents we want the very best for our children. And that 'very best' is for them to have their own personal relationship with the living Lord Jesus Christ. But it doesn't always work the way we want it to.
However, we can trust in the Lord knowing that however much we love our children, He loves them more.
We can trust Him to look after them. Our ways are not His ways - which is probably a good thing!
God knows best and when we can trust in Him with all our heart, we can enter his perfect peace and rest, knowing that although it may not seem like it to us, He has it all under His control.
My God is a good God.

Carol,
God bless you my friend. God is in total control. He hears our prayers and we can safely place our children in HIS HANDS. My grandmother prayed for her grandchildren and now I see how God has answered her prayers.
You are in my prayers too, dear friend. Hope to hear from you soon.
Your sister in Christ,
Bren
Thank you Carol. All my three children made a profession of faith in their teens. Sadly none are walking with the Lord now, but I have faith that his arms are over them.
I have been through the 'wringer' with my sons. I have 2. As different as day light and dark. One is a good hard working family man. The other son is doing a lot better but it has been a very rocky road for him. He was in prison, he was into drugs, he is a father of 2 boys that he does not have custody of. (neither does his ex-wife, the children live with the other grandmother)
I have always believed in the Lord, but I was not raised in a church. I am sad to say I did not start going to church myself till recently. We have found a wonderful church. Last Feb. 22,2009I was baptized. I am so proud of that. I am taking my grandsons to church with me on Sundays. I hope that with the Lord's help these boys will not follow their father's footsteps.
My mother is doing better. She was strong enough to be in her recliner yesterday instead of her hospital bed. That is a big blessing. Her medications are finally regulated again so she is feeling better too. The Lord is good.

Hi! Carol
Nice to meet you. Thanks for your visit and comments.
I heartily agree and say Amen to this post. I have a son who was on fire for God as a young man but not walking with the Lord now. I won't go in to why in this public place for privacy sake b ut I know he is in the Lord's hands and God will do with him what He will.
Had a run through your posts. Our church ran a CAP centre for years but we had to close down when we broke down in to lhouse churches.
Blessings to you and happy gardening.
